Follow the gently curving paths to a small but charming children's play area that is complemented by trees and vibrant flowers. Heather Park is surrounded by magnificent street trees and offers both playing field and tennis courts.
In 1913 this site was established as a park in the West Point Grey Municipality. It was named for its bounding street, one of many in the area between Cambie and MacDonald streets that refer to trees or shrubs. In 1914 it was home to the B.C. Electric Cricket Club and was an old Chinese market garden prior to World War I.The purpose of this blog is to visit and review all parks in the City of Vancouver.
