Harbour green park

With rolling lawns and appealing views, Harbour Green Park seems to float at the edge of Coal Harbour. The park can be accessed from the seawall or from its grand Bute Street entrance, where a spectacular water feature doubles as a summer spray park. This elegantly detailed park is a great place to enjoy the sea air, watch the floatplane arrivals and departures, or treat yourself to refreshment at the Art Deco style Mill Marine Bistro Restaurant. Free short-term (up to three hours) moorage for leisure craft is available at the Harbour Green dock in Coal Harbour. Daytime only; no overnight or after-dark moorage is permitted. This park, the longest continuous waterfront park in the downtown area, was constructed in phases starting in 1997. Features include the continuation of the seawall, lighting, flower beds grass berms, promontory lookouts, an allee of European Beech, Northern Red Oak and London Plane trees. Officially opened on October 26, 2002, the park cost $14.2 million which was funded through Marathon Development Inc.’s recreational amenity contribution to the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Park Board.
