Charleson Park
Great park for good views of downtown.
It is only a short walk from granville island or from Olympic village.
There is large playground and tennis courts if you like that sort of
thing. Also, there is a trails through trees and lakes to hang out
beside. There is even a jade water fountain. Just beware of the
aggressive parents who don't like anyone taking pictures. This is a
public park, anyone can take pictures of anything. The police confirm
this.
Peaceful pathways wind through lush plantings and around a waterfall and
pond, opening to striking views of the downtown shoreline. Whether
passing through on the seawall or staying awhile to enjoy the park,
Charleson is sure to make your day a bit more relaxing.
Note: The tennis courts are outside the park on the rooftop at 600
Moberly Road.
